Are You Interested?

This morning, my uncle came up to my desk, "Are you interested in going to Southeastern China?"

He's been several times and always comes back with silk rugs and exotic treats...including the crystal ball that I have on my desk.

He wants to go hiking in the Yellow Mountains. Not your average hike. The scenery is amazing and it makes me gasp just looking at it in pictures. I'm a tad scared of falling to my death.

My answer is yes. YES!!!! I'd love to go. But we'll have to see how the economy is faring over the next few months. We have no projects to work on at my job, so I may be on unemployment and job searching if things don't turn around soon.

Send up a little prayer that we have a construction boom in Nashville very soon! And I promise I'll bring you back something very cool like I did last time!

I don't think you could pay me enough to step foot on that trail...

It is beautiful though, fingers crossed for some projects to work on!!!

Bunnies! You'd better go and bring me one back. Otherwise, don't bother showing your face on my Internet anymore.

Wow! What an amazing offer. I hope you get to go. I'm pushing for an economy boost down here in Austin, so between the two of us, maybe we can make something happen!

You could hold a fund raiser. A virtual carwash perhaps? Or maybe raffle off something fantastic..... You have to go.
My request? A silk kimono, size small, red. Or at least a postcard or two or three :)

Got casually asked if I was interested in certain work last Thursday. Answered 'Yes', interviewed by phone on Monday and mailed off the contract yesterday.

Essentially piece work, but the base pay is higher than my old job. So maybe things are turning around.

I wouldn't go hiking on that for any two of the lovely girls you post pictures of, maybe three.

I don't come here for the pictues, but the text. Nice blog.

Holy guacamole. I'd have to bring 50 extra memory cards for my camera!!! That sounds like a fantastic trip, and absolutely gorgeous. I assume that you'd be interacting with local villages and what not. Too cool for words.

My brother was part of the first group of westerners let into China years ago. he was part of a group of reporters doing a story on the opening of the country.

He sent me a beautiful vase...that my ex has now...wonder if I can get that back...

There are quite a few good reasons why we need the economy to turn good, and I hope you get this trip :)

Prayers for that construction boom!

And um . . .
I'd poop a river if I were up on that bridge.

And just how the heck do you build something like that?

What a great opportunity, I hope you get to go. Personally there's no way I'd go on that train I'm scared of heights. :0

How on earth did they build that foot bridge around the side of that very steep rock! I wouldn't walk on it as I hate heights. I would love to go to China... but for now I'm off to Canada in June.. we all have to make sacrifices I guess;)
