I Wish She Would Let Me Help Her

My Love is pressure washing, bleaching and staining the deck and fence. It's a LOT of work. We have a little more than 1/2 acre fenced with beautiful wood scalloped fencing. (You can see it on the right hand side of the pic.) You're supposed to wait about a year before you treat new wood. She knew that. I didn't.

She wants to do it all by herself. My Love's so fast and efficient that sometimes I feel like I'm just in the way when I try to help. I'm such a goober when it comes to mechanical stuff.

I made her a margarita and got out of the way.

Hey girls!
I feel the same when my girl is rearranging the furniture! (I need to get a blender for the office....)

I'm sure she appreciated your help; I know I would.

You have a lovely home. I always think couples need to have one handy person and one person who handles the details. Like in my marriage, I pick the paint colors (or any other decor) and the Evil Twin does the painting or hanging or assembly of furniture. :-)

She's happy. Just run the bath, get the massage oils ready for her aching muscles and make it up to her later....

What was the name of the martini? Paint the fence then come paint me?

Being disabled, I told my man how independent I wanted to be and he was okay with that. But after a few years, he said, "I'd do anything for you, if you would just let me."

That made me realize that he wanted to take care of me and I wasn't letting him. I'm still independent but a little more flexible these days.

So nice to have a partner who wants to do the hard work by themselves, isn't it? My man is this way. "No thanks. I got it."
Thump, thump, goes my heart.

beautiful house. LOL yeah I am the same way (as far as being like her). Let me just do it and get the job done. Although, I want a beer at the end. :-)

I'm really good at that kind of help, as well! I love to paint, but my husband hates for me to help because I'm so slow.

That's your house??? It's freaking beautiful!!!!!

And yea, when my husband wanted to help me pressure wash and stain the deck and fence, I actually let him, for about five minutes. Then I made him stop.

yea, it was that bad.
