Accepting ourselves for who and what we are is the hardest thing to do.

I find I am my own worst critic.

I love and accept myself the way I am. This cult of perfection is sick.

I had a lot of time to reflect today on life and love and my thoughts on the universe. Seeing this post kind of completed a really great thought process. Thank you for reminding me that loving myself should be my top priority. :)

Confidence is key. This post, the girl in the photo, and you...are all beautiful and cool as hell.

Thanks for what you write. Let's have a drink sometime. I'd love to meet you.

its so important to love yourself because at the end of the day you are left with you. Easier said than done...for me anyway! Some days are better than others.

It gets easier as you get older...if you survive.

I disagree.

I think we all ARE perfect. Just different.

*said in my most cynical voice*

When society becomes less materialistic and more realistic. When we stop measuring the unimportant things and begin valuing the things that really make a difference.

I do...well, I think I do...and I KNOW I am NOT perfect (or even that close to perfect)...but I do...well, I think I do

When we are not bombarded minute to minute with images and undertones that we shouldn't love ourselves unless we are.

I'm short, fat, and disabled...and I, sometimes, love myself too much. I developed a healthy ego because of brothers who took pleasure in pushing my buttons. lol!

I once attended a yoga class, and I haven't attended many, where the breathing meditation at the end was all about imagining yourself as perfect, feeling perfect, being perfect. At first I was all, "I can't do this. She's a crazy bitch." But then I made myself try, to let myself go there, and it was heavenly. A first time experience that felt so light and free. I haven't been there since. The yoga instructor moved to a studio on the opposite end of town.

Just be yourself. Who gives a shit what any one else thinks anyway? Be you, be happy within, the rest should follow.
