You're never too old to fall in love and you're never too old to be hurt.
A friend of mine is hurting and it's breaking my heart along with his.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I congratulate your friend on the courage to venture.
that hurt is equal to the love they will find again. swear. no foolin'
Now here is something I know about!!!
Time, friends and a little "strange" will dull the pain. If that doesn't work, take up drinking and blogging. A guaranteed cure for what ails ya.
Peace to you, Lynn ~ and all of your loved ones.

I know the pain so well. But you have to put yourself out there and risk the pain to find happiness.
I know the pain too, and I'm still feeling it even though I've moved on and started dating. I've been seeing a woman, but my ex partner is still around to see my kids. She also still hasn't moved out her stuff. Most of it is still here. Both are constant reminders. Still hurts, but my kids still want a relationship with her.
I've felt the pain. I also felt like I could never love again.
2 years later, I found out I was wrong.
It is so tough to go through a breakup, I wish your friend well.
Very true and very sad. Positive energy to your friend, hope he feels better.
This picture reminded me of one of my new favorite book quotes;
"Most things break, including hearts. The lessons of life amount not to wisdom, but to scar tissue and callus."
-Wallace Stegner
Broken hearts are a terrible hurt, but eventually the scar tissue forms...
Sad to hear you're hurting. BTW. You won an award on ZacksHotTub.Blogspot.Com - head on over to pick it up.
The wonderful thing about a broken heart it that it does heal with time and patience and sometimes what you find later is so much better than what was lost. My thoughts go out to your friend and you
you are right on both...
Im sorry for your friend.
Ive been thru a lot myself in the past year....and never thought I would ever feel "ok" again.....I do - and I feel BETTER than I have in a very long time. Getting thru it is the hardest part.
All you can do is be a good friend and be there - even if you cant fix it you can still offer a hug or a drink or a shoulder. Thats what friends are for.
Out of all the pain I can empathize with, a broken heart is the worst. I'm sorry about what your friend is going through.
PS - Hope you have a Happy Easter, my friend!!
(((hugs))) and some good thoughts for your friend.
I'm sorry your friend is hurting. Yes, those of us who wear our hearts on our sleeves hurt when our friends hurt, don't we?
If it makes you feel better... I have an award for you on my blog! :-)
I had a broken heart three years ago at 52 ..felt like it would never mend..then the love of my life came walking in and all was better.
I hope your friend finds the same..
