What Do You Want?

I love having fresh flowers in the house. LOVE IT! And a lot of the time, I do, thanks to My Love..

But those flowers up there? The ones that are going to cost $100 next weekend....I don't want those. Too expensive.

I'd rather have six bunches of mixed flowers than one of those Valentine's bouquets. Because the entire world isn't telling her to get them for me.

I get the bunches of mixed ones for TW. She likes them and they are less expensive. Okay, I'm cheap. but my love is free.

so true...and yet so sad. The florists know they can mark up the prices and we are going to buy them anyway....*sigh*

When she was alive my wife never wanted flowers. She wanted live plants instead. After her funeral I gave all of the plants away. She had a green thumb. I don't.

To be honest I'd like both if she was rich, lol. BUT if I had to pick I would say the less expensive ones 6 times a year. When I was a child we had rose bushes in the back yard. That was cheeper in the long run and we often had roses at the table.

My favorite flower in the world is the Casablanca Lilly. But I answer to roses, daisies, tulips, sunflowers, cosmos, orchids, gardenias, and wild flowers from the backyard too. In other words, I'm easy!

I have never liked buying a dozen roses - even when they are not costing $100.00 (anytime other than Feb 1 - Feb 14)

Two or three different color roses always works...a bunch of mixed flowers per your visual are grand...

I totally agree. Florists pump up the price knowing damn well we'll fork out magga money because Pluto invented Valentines day. My favourite flowers are white Frescias.. I'd be quite happy with a bunch of freshly picked daffordils at a fraction of the price... I know that I am loved, but fresh flowers are nice.

add me to the agree list too. even a handful of mixed greenery from the garden with a pretty ribbon around the neck of the vase does the trick for me. anything fresh.

I couldn't agree with youmore. A spring mix or something like that is SO much better than your every day roses. And to me, so much prettier and livlier!
