I love having fresh flowers in the house. LOVE IT! And a lot of the time, I do, thanks to My Love..
But those flowers up there? The ones that are going to cost $100 next weekend....I don't want those. Too expensive.

I have happy for you at my blog. come and get it.
livin my life, whatever
Amen, sista. I agree completely.
so true!!
Yeah, I guess the mixed flowers is better. If you're into that sort of thing. ;-)
I wholeheartedly agree! I love, love, LOVE those mixed bouquets that the grocery store has! Wonderful, brilliant colors! Wonderful scents! It makes me smile :o)
Take care!
:o) BJ
so true...and yet so sad. The florists know they can mark up the prices and we are going to buy them anyway....*sigh*
funny my hubby likes flowers better than i do...weird couple here...lol..i wonder what you get for your love if she gets you the flowers
I love the Costco roses. They are always amazing and fairly cheap. Next faves are the Sunflowers and tulips. i love flowers too.
Me too! Down with roses. I love a good daisy;-)
I would love for my little monkey to make me some flowers for vday. THAT would be special.
When she was alive my wife never wanted flowers. She wanted live plants instead. After her funeral I gave all of the plants away. She had a green thumb. I don't.
I can't find your email address, but I've closed my blog to invited readers only. If you would like to be invited, you can email me at bina64@gmail.com.
To be honest I'd like both if she was rich, lol. BUT if I had to pick I would say the less expensive ones 6 times a year. When I was a child we had rose bushes in the back yard. That was cheeper in the long run and we often had roses at the table.
My favorite flower in the world is the Casablanca Lilly. But I answer to roses, daisies, tulips, sunflowers, cosmos, orchids, gardenias, and wild flowers from the backyard too. In other words, I'm easy!
I don't mind roses but my eyes favaor tulips or bright colorful wild flowers. They make me smile wide. :)
I have never liked buying a dozen roses - even when they are not costing $100.00 (anytime other than Feb 1 - Feb 14)
Two or three different color roses always works...a bunch of mixed flowers per your visual are grand...
I totally agree. Florists pump up the price knowing damn well we'll fork out magga money because Pluto invented Valentines day. My favourite flowers are white Frescias.. I'd be quite happy with a bunch of freshly picked daffordils at a fraction of the price... I know that I am loved, but fresh flowers are nice.
add me to the agree list too. even a handful of mixed greenery from the garden with a pretty ribbon around the neck of the vase does the trick for me. anything fresh.
I can't wait until this snow is gone and flower start to come out!
Great blog! I will be back for more!
I couldn't agree with youmore. A spring mix or something like that is SO much better than your every day roses. And to me, so much prettier and livlier!
