I Have A Card

And some candy. That's all. I need some ideas. I'm stressed and slam-damn busy and frankly, I need ideas RIGHT NOW.

What are you doing for your love for Valentine's Day? Maybe I can copy-cat and she'll never know that I didn't think of it myself!

Tell me what you have up your sleeve....or tell me the best Valentine's Day surprise that has happened to you.

Just help me!!!!!

Card and candy and a quiet time to share each others thoughts...

There are more important days to express your love IMHO

I have to agree with Bond, and add kissing and hugging a lot!!!!!!!

We're not gift exchangers here. I think a card and candy are fine. Along with hugs and kisses! :-)

Don't forget the letter. A card is great and sweet and all, but nothing says "I love you" like a nice heartfelt letter telling her WHY you love her. Or you could even tell her when you first knew you loved her, or a few things that made you fall. Sappy is good. So if you're writing and feel like a complete 7th grade idiot, then you're doing a good job. ;)

hmmm. I'm making her a card and already bought a piece of jewelry and taking her to a musical performance on Saturday evening. So, that's not going to help you out much, eh? She surprised me with a beautiful drawing of my beloved dog, Edgar. She gave it to me early and I cried.

I haven't been blogging for awhile - so this may not be new - but I LOVE your new profile picture. Love it!

I am sorry to say I have no valentine's advice. We decided mutually not to celebrate this year because while I love the holiday, my husband feels like it's just a hallmark day and so I'd prefer not to have anything that he feels like he was forced into doing. He's a good guy the rest of the year so I cut him some slack.

That being said, my favorite things are the things that didn't cost much money, just took some thought. So maybe you could do something like make her a meal of all her favorite foods, watch her favorite movie with her, go on a walk or go visit her favorite place - make it a day that celebrates her because SHE is your favorite - and enjoy all her favorite things together.

Good luck - hope you figure it out!

We don't really do gifts for Valentine's Day and with the kids we are limited to what we can do. Usually it's a yummy dinner and a rented movie. After the kids go to bed, it'll be another rented movie (of the adult variety) and then dessert will be served ON one or both of us. We make it an event.
Good luck!

I say step out of your comfort zone and do something your Love likes to do but you don't. You might find a new interest and if not she will surely see how much you love her by trying something she loves. For me it would be a long hike on a clear day. No one ever wants to go with me and it can be such a bonding experience.

you know what? no one had EVER given me a valentines surprise. :(

i think people just expect the girl to be the one to get the surprises...

It wasn't Valentine's Day, but was very lovely and memorable.
I was met with a note on the front door. It had instructions for me to follow, then there was another note at the end of that task, more instructions, and then another, etc
Excitement, wonder and curiosity rose as I completed the tasks and followed the trail gathering certain accouterments and 'toys'.
The final note on the bedroom door found me undressed excepts for said accouterments and holding various 'toys'.
And behind that door...........

Well, excuse me, but I'm going now to look for TW.

Flowers flowers flowers are always it for me! Also, I get cards for Alex from me, from Harry (the dog) from Honey (the other dog) and from Smokey (the cat) and from the fish in the pond. Yeah, part of my national budget is allocated to Hallmark! But I love giving and getting them!

Flowers always does it for me! Or a "gift voucher" for a back massage to be given by my loved one.

Nice blog by the way! Good luck with your valentine's day - and remember it's the thought that counts!

I hope your love knows how fortunate she is! ... I will be alone and romancing myself this year. I will be blogging about it Sunday. ;) ... A nice mushy card that says how you truly feel goes a long way. I still have cards from my love from the 80's. I have a teddy bear from her too and sometimes cuddle up to it when Im having a bad day. You can probably get a ton of ideas online too. Good luck! Let us know.

the coolest thing i have seen...is you can hire a barbershop quartet to sing love songs to your love...right at your door...and then they hand over the candy and card and flowers...so romantic...(it is available in victoria bc canada...os i am sure you can find them there...)
