Not One More Minute...

could I wait.

We'd been goofing off all day. First to watch my coach squat 970 pounds. Amazing. Then to the mall to goof off at Aveda, Williams Sonoma and Teavana. And finally to the video kiosk to pick up Twilight.

Sitting there on the couch, I was cold and the rain outside made it feel like winter. We could have turned on the heat, but it's just too damn early. It's barely October.

We finally caved and built our first fire of the season. Trace is relaxing in front, soaking up a little warmth in her old doggie bones.

Great photo. Enjoy your fire. I'm jealous of your fireplace. I'd have built a fire too!

If I had a fireplace, tonight would probably be my first fire of the year too. It's been cool and rainy all day here.

Your fireplace looks like ours (we have 2 that are identical, one upstairs, one downstairs). I've been cranking up a space heater every morning, but it's not chilly enough in the afternoons or early evenings for a fire - yet! :-)

Nice! Bic and I have to tighten our belts a little this winter. We love using the fireplace almost nightly but the fact that after you go to bed your really ...unheating the house, as most of the heat goes up the flue. This season were going to put an insert in our huge fireplace so we don't lose all that heat. I actually started on it this weekend.

We have already had a couple of snows. I wish we had a real fireplace.
