Eco-Rebel. I Bet She'll End Up In Garden Jail!

My friend, Jules over at Sudden Onset of Chronic Diarrhea (and a touch of irritable vowel syndrome) is sending me some cool seeds from the Arizona desert. I'm sending her some of my TN stuff.

For us green thumbs, it's cool shit. Honestly, I'm entirely too excited about these seeds and Spring in general. If you're looking for a great place to hang out, I suggest you stop by and give her a whirl.

Go bask in her desert sunshine and take a gander at her Jacaranda that's blooming. Scroll down and you'll see her Sweet Pea.

It's been 80 degrees for a while over at her place. For me, that's enough reason to stop by.

okay, I am GOING!! I love to garden myself- I have tons of perennials that come up ALL around my house. I have gardens in the front, large, large ones in the back yard, and also some that go along the sides of the house. They are full and packed with all kinds of things.

I LOVE spring!!!!!!!

Ah Lynn, you are so sweet! Thanks for that. I am utterly excited over seeds myself. Our growing season is all year long, so I grow shit, all year long. Just rotate the crops according to how hot it is. Believe it or not, I manage to keep things alive even when it's 120 in the summer. Now that's dedication eh?

Happy Weekend!
Jules

Wow, beautiful Jacaranda. I checked it out yesterday.

As for the weather, it's predictably sunny, warm and we'll probably hit the 80s again.

I wish I had weather like yours where I could make use out of firewood and wear funky boots for a few months.

Seeds from the desert? Isn't that called sand? I've tried it, but it doesn't make a very good wine. You have to decant the shit out of it.

Last spring I built a flower bed along the front porch (twice, the first time I put the stupid interlocking bricks in upside down) and began to fill it with perennials -- White Nancy, Sea Thrift, Cranesbill -- I can't wait to add some more this year!

It hit 62 here the other day and everybody was giddy with excitement. We probably won't see 80 until May.

Looking forward to seeing what you grow!

[sigh]

My thumbs are so not green. I'm more the person who pushed the wheelbarrow and curses.

Does that count?

Hope you're having a smooth weekend, RLL...

I'm not much of a thumb...but I'll definitely go over and check out her post. Just the fact that it's about poop has me interested. :)

Is it warm by you?
Here..a balmy 30.

:)Got China?

Seriously I think making up some of those shirts would be a blast to wear..would you wear one, while in your garden planting the seeds from Jules?

Happy Sunday!!!

Only this morning I started planning what to do in my garden once Spring arrives. It's just too desolate at the moment and too damn cold! :0

80 degrees does sound nice right about now. Can we all show up at the same time?

Trading seeds is so much fun. Not that I ever have much luck getting them to grow. ;)

80 degrees... I'm so jealous!

I have a black thumb - I kill plastic plants. I come from a long line of farmers, but it didn't take with me.
