Just Let Go!

This morning, the uncles are telling me that we may change our itinerary. Mkay. That instead of Machu Picchu and Peru, we may go to Brazil and Argentina.

My uncle wants to see Foz do Iguaçu or Iguazu Falls.

From Wilkipedia:

Vastly larger than North America's Niagara Falls, Iguaçu is rivalled only by Southern Africa's Victoria Falls which separates Zambia and Zimbabwe (this is excluding extremely large rapid-like falls such as the Boyoma Falls). Whilst Iguazu is wider because it is split into about 270 discrete falls and large islands, Victoria is the largest curtain of water in the world, at over a mile wide and over 350 feet (108 meters) in height (in low flow Victoria is split into five by islands; in high flow it can be uninterrupted).
I have no clue where we'll end up.

My two uncles are modern day adventurers. Seriously. They've been everywhere and have no fear. They'll eat eyeball soup and drink God-knows-what for lunch. But I've never had cooler vacations than when I'm with them.

They're hoping to find "someone" to drive us from Bolivia over to the falls or maybe we'll take a train or a bus and then we can just fly out of there.

This is an exercise in letting go for me. I'm a planner. I'm going to be in this city on this day and do this. Not them. They fly by the seats of their pants.

Look at me!!!! I'm letting GOOOOOOO!!!!!

I am so excited for you!! Take lots of pictures. Bring disposable underwear, I'm sure your uncles can help you pack. :)

As much as I would love to see Machu Picchu I would think that trading that for both Brazil AND Argentina would be a great idea. What a cool trip that's gonna be!

G-man: Would those be edible??? I don't know of any other disposable ones.

Jay: Either way, it'll be cool and it's still WAY up in the air.

Leighann: I know, I'm pretty excited, too!

Tequila: I think you may be right.

Dana: Duh. Yeah. You need my address? :)

Spiky: Hmm...I hadn't thought of THAT!

From experience, the "seat-of-the-pants" type of adventures can be wonderful!

Let it go and enjoy dammit. How many times are gonna go there?

The falls look great. Inhibitions and controlled settings be damned, go for it. Cheers!!

Seamus: Yeah, I think so, too. It's just hard for me to let go and enjoy!

Matt-man: Um, one? Good point!

I couldn't go there. Running water makes me want to pee, and from the looks of those falls, I'd be dehydrated before the trip was over.

Have fun no matter where you go. Just carry a cup for emergencies. I guess I could do that, too. Depends!

Either way, it sounds wonderful. I hope you see the falls, because they look amazing from your photos.
I like planning everything if it's anywhere out of the country. I compensate by going to one or two places and spending considerable time at each. Getting to know the local people, restaurants, streets and history make travelling meaningful. Plus, I feel like I've actually rested. I hate vacations where one is constantly "on the go".

That sounds like such a fun experience! I am a planner, too, but I would love to just head off to a destination without any plans once I got there.

Ooooh... beautiful pictures!

Trading the inca adventure for these sights doesn't sound like a bad idea. I wanna come too!

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

The only falls I've ever been to were Viagra Falls, and they were FROZEN when I went. So beautiful regardless.

HO-LEE SHIT...What a typo. I totally meant to type Niagra Falls...Since it was such a cool typo, I figured I'd leave it up and not delete it.

Sit back, relax and enjoy...I know that's a tall order (believe me...I'm the biggest control freak there is)..but it will be worth it!!

Ha...simply curious...LMAO...that is so funny and cool. .

Rll...my girl is like you, a planner. I fly by the seat of my pants. Oh, the adventures I have been on, but she has saved us so many times with her planning.

She asked me how do you do it...not plan things out?

Ha...I did. I planned not to plan.

Hope all goes according to plan
honey. :D

caio babes.

I'd have to say, either way, you're a winner. All those countries are full of adventures. Just be mindful of the locals and their customs and you'll have an amazing time. BTW the Brazilian beaches should be full of eye candy for you, and your uncles. Topless no less. And seriously, the most beautiful women in the world, bar none! Have an awesome trip!
