I'm Baaaaack

I've been AWOL. And busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kickin' contest.

I'm not an event planner. And yet, here I am planning a pretty big party for my parent's 50th Anniversary. So far, 82 people have responded that they are definitely coming.

It started out as a simple little party and grew into
tons of red roses, a minister, catering, a band, a big wedding cake, a wedding gown, a flower girl and tulle. Lots of white tulle.

You see, when my parents were married, there wasn't money for a huge wedding. So off they went to Ringgold, GA to find a Justice of the Peace. No flowers. No dress. No cake.

We're definitely going to make up for that now. My mother is 74 years young and next Saturday....

she's finally going to have the wedding of her dreams.

Awwwwesome. I wondered what happened to you.

You're such a sweet daughter for arranging that.

Oh what a wonderful thing to do for your parents. I can't wait to see the pictures. Is that THE cake?

You'll have to share all the process of this, as well as the outcome.

My parents 50th is in February, and I plan to throw them a big bash as well. They don't need the marriage bit as their wedding photos look to be fairly decent, cake, dress & all...but I'd still like to help them make memories of this day.

Ringold's a nice little town. I'm not to far from there I could take a drive and maybe photograph the place where they were married. You could make place holders or something...just a thought
