Media Free For One Week~

but not by choice. My love called the cable company last Monday. Too late. They were booked up and they couldn't come out and turn it on until today. A week later. I haven't seen a TV or computer screen since last Wednesday. Cruel.

But I have seen loads of cool, blue water that has turned my red hair into straw. I don't care. The new house has a little pool that rocks my ever-lovin' world! I put on my suit first thing yesterday morning and swam. Then again around 3pm. My girl says I should just use it instead of panties and a bra until winter.

We are finally in the new house! YAY! Crap is EVERYWHERE! Boxes are stacked upon boxes. Bathroom stuff is piled in the laundry room. Kitchen accessories are in the attic. But at least it's all there.

I have some information for you about owning a log home. It's damn dusty. Every log on every wall and every cross beam. Dust. If you're one of those vacuum loving folks, please come over with your Hoover, Dyson, or whatever you have.

I'll cook dinner!

I'll be over, a lot of people always tell me I suck. I assume they are talking about my awesome vacuuming skills...

Something tells me you might have to adjust your aversion to dust!

CONGRATULATIONS on the move!!

I know they are old fashioned and goofy looking but get a bathing cap. Protect your hair from all that chlorine.

Yeah for the new house! And the pool. I will come over to swim, but I am not good with dust. I can send over my cleaning lady - she loves dust. :)

I'm going to come to vacuum just so I can eat one of your meals. I hear they are legendary.

Congratulations on moving into your log cabin! That's just awesome!

I don't like to dust, but I like to eat and have managerial skills, so can I come over and supervise the dusters?

Congrats on the new place. I am so happy for you.

I spent two weeks away from my laptop and it was strangely liberating (ok, I may have peeked a bit towards the end).

Honey bought a new vacuum a couple of weeks ago. I could bring it and try out your pool in exchange... ok ok... you can feed me too... ;)

You'll cook dinner?? ;)

Sounds like a beautiful place!

I can't imagine being media free for that long, but after hurricanes, it happens...we lose all power. Three storms are brewing in the Atlantic, so I may be you very soon.

Glad to hear it all worked out and you two got the house. More pics soon ?

Open all the doors and windows and let mother nature whisk your dust away. (I found this tip in 'Man's World of Cleaning')

Cool! Congrats on the new digs. Dust isn't so bad if you don't disturb it ;)

We are part owners in a log home up in Northern Michigan- I know what you mean! Throw in a few dead bugs, and mouse turds... oh yeah, I know..

You moved in already!?! Blimey, it takes forever to sort the legal stuff in the UK.

Have fun in your new house! :)

I was wondering about your move. Cabin dust....that means your country now!
So Nashville is just 2 hours away from where I am, so if your on this side [towards Knoxville] it's less than that for a drive to try your pool. j/k Really it's a sub plan for the next time I go to the airport in Nashville maybe we can do one of those "blogger meets".

I've discovered that if you leave the dust alone....it will usually leave you alone. But if you disturb it...it'll fly everywhere! lol
Congrats on the move.
And the pool...my idea of heaven there...I hate it when we have to close ours down. :(

"loads of cool, blue water"? Sounds dreamy to me. Best to you in the new digs.

I bet I could get a lot done if I didn't have media for a week. Cruel as it would be. Moving sucks, I feel for ya.

No TV and no Internet make spazoid go something.

Oh yea.

Crazy.

Oh, wow - dusting is a total pain in the ass, too, isn't it? So tedious. You clearly need a French maid.

But how exciting to BE in a new place, I love that feeling.

I love to "swiffer" and I have the MAXI Swiffer because I am hot stuff!!

I swear if you were closer I'd be there in a heartbeat and you wouldn't even have to cook. Order a pizza and sit by the pool.

I am so thrilled that you got in!! I have always felt that moving was kind of refreshing. A new start, a chance to make the new place your own. Dust sucks, I don't care who ya are!! Windows open will help a lot with the dust. I am so jealous and happy at the same time. A log cabin in Tennessee? My idea of heaven. You girls enjoy! More pics when you can!

Take Care
