I'm Creatively Fit

Over the weekend, I took a Creatively Fit class with Whitney Ferre of the Creative Fitness Center in Nashville, TN.

It was so. much. fun!

Paint any color you want. Paint the ugliest color you can find. Paste on fabric. Smash down some paper. Go over the same painting over and over and over. Dribble some paint. Slosh some down on there really thick.

And that was just on Friday night. Which was made ever so much more fun by the lady behind me that brought two bottles of wine!

Saturday, we just kept building the layers. Pasting. Painting. Globbing. Smushing.

Sunday, we covered the entire thing in a glossy epoxy that looks like glass. I wish you could see it. It's so cool looking! I've got to find some of that epoxy.

It was like being in 3rd grade all over again. And I want to do it every day.

I don't get the "creatively fit" thing - I mean, was it a painting/exercise class?? LOL

In any case, this is GORGEOUS and I want it!!!! Are you going to make one of the rooms in your new log cabin a studio?

What made you choose the guitar/banjo/stringed instrument or whatever it is? I SO like it.

Keep it up. Start painting and get ready for your first show!

I love it. I am, once again, insanely jealous. Only your blog makes me spit nails like this. And I mean that in a good way.

Gorgeous painting.

Holy Crap, did you really make that? I love it! I want that in my apartment and I'm really picky. Vibrant color, movement, music, I'm in love!

Sounds fabulous; you could seriously hang that painting somewhere.

Perhaps you might even convince some friends that you bought it for over a thousand dollars.

That's great. And who doesn't love an art class (or any class for that matter) that allows wine. I am glad you had such a good time.

Sounds like fabulous fun! I might have to organize a girls painting and wine party! With a nude model... did I say that? Noooo. Maybe a private painting party where Spartan is nude and I actually put the paint on him... with the wine ever present. Boy this comment went sideways in a hurry...

What an excellent idea, getting the creative juices flowing is wonderful.

The picture on your post is so striking and colourful, I could look at it all day.

I enjoy doing oil pastel pictures out in the countryside around Edinburgh. The results are so immediate and powerful.

Lovely blog, by the way. I came here through Elizabeth's blog and I am so pleased I did.
