I Need Something....

and I think it might be a break. Not from blogging. But from things in my life that have become tedious. Like working out four days a week with a trainer. Lifting heavy weight. Spending too much of my time trying to have muscles. Trying to be thin.

I want to nest. Clean the wood walls of the log cabin. Decorate the walls. Buy new and pretty things for the porches.

I want to go for drives with my girlfriend in the afternoon. Or for a long walk at the lake that is at the end of the road. I want to go to the movies. Go for a bike ride. Paint with my old aunts. Eat ice cream.

I want to just do what I want to do for a while. Is that so wrong?

I'm a firm believer that people need to take time out to do things that they just WANT to do. It's important to put that first sometimes too.

Feeling guilty about it and not doing it would be wrong.

You can cut back on the workouts. Swim in your gorgeous pool instead and walk around your property.

I think you deserve to have what you need. And you know what you need so do it! :)

Taking a break is what allows you to come back fresh again. Go! Do! Have your fun!

You have to follow your heart, and do what makes you happy in this life... Everything else will follow.

No regrets. Do whatever it takes to have that.

Period.

Got it??

Good... Go forth!!!!!

Doing what you want to do - and knowing what that is - is the most powerful thing you can do!

I see you dogged on me for working out and eating right, but I see you are working out 4 days a week. WITH a trainer. What seems to be the roadblock to your weight loss and becoming fit? Could it be that you don't "eat like a rabbit?"

And, I'm really not all that sweet!

Nope.
No way is that all wrong, that is the opposite.
Its all right.
go get em.

Oooh, that break sounds pretty fantastic. I think its not only OK, but important to take breaks... or at least that was my justification the past few weeks... I took some time, ate lots of food I don't normally eat, and cut back on running and gym sessions. Played with my kids, hung out with my guy and saw friends...

Now I am ready to dive back into the whole thing- maintaining this weight loss, buffing up and training for distance races....

I bet if you take a break you will have fun with the other stuff again.

Your trainer will be the first to tell you mental health is just as important as physical health. Take a break, reduce the regimen and enjoy life. Remember it is a lifestyle change, not a loss of weight for the moment.

Ditto all that stuff ^^^^^ up there!! If you burn yourself out, you'll quit and maybe not come back. Taking a break on YOUR terms is the only way to do it!!

No, no it is not wrong. I think as long as you are doing active things that you enjoy doing, you'll do them more. When working out is a chore that you hate, you won't do it.

You sound burned out, my dear, burned OUT. You probably do need a break to nurture yourself - SCREW the rest, it will wait for you!!
