Only For Shock Value

Am I posting two days in a row.

After many years of cooking, I'm just now finding out that people are either PRO-casserole or ANTI-casserole. I'm afraid that many of the anti-casserole folks have been presented with something akin to that photo up there. I wouldn't eat that with your mouth.

Luckily, my neighbors are all pro-casserole. Actually, they're more like pro-food. My work peeps...not so much. Honestly, people it's just stuff in one pan that you'd eat together otherwise. What's the problem?

So tell me. Are you pro or anti-casserole?

P.S. Remember, lasagna is technically a casserole and I have one of the best recipes on Earth. If you come visit, you might get a taste, if I know you're coming with a week's notice. Not that I'd want to sway you over to my pro side.

I am pro-casserole but no tuna casserole and I only make them when I'm having a bunch of people in to eat them, as a casserole languishing in the refrigerator is just a sad sad dish.

I am pro-casserole! I make a very good ham and pasta casserole that I love. It does make lots and lots and lots though.

I am Pro. I work 4 12s and so making one a week cuts down on what I have to cook. That being said I look for a new recipie each week. However, it must be a from scrach recipie no canned soups at all. Oh and I agree no tuna.

Count me as your first anti!

Foods need to be eaten one at a time (i.e. ALL of the vegetables, ALL of the starch and then ALL of the meat, preferably not touching).

Casseroles violate ALL of the food rules!

What? That's odd?? Nahhhh ...

I am pro-casserole and I just made up a new dish, Eggplant Rotolo in an effort to duplicate an item on the tapas menu at an Argentinian restaurant. It came out even better than the restaurant's version. For the recipe, check out my other blog Lola's Victory Garden. Here is the link for the recipe:

Is microwave chili, with melted cheese on top a casserole? If so, I am golden!

I'm pro. And you know how I feel about the possibility of having your lasagna and the 7lbs of cheese that come with it... ::drool:::

Tuna noodle, chicken and rice, taco...SO pro. They are wonderful when you suck at cooking.

PRO! Any type of mac and cheese is my favorite too. I look forward for the hot weather leaving so I can turn the oven back on without melting.

It all depends what’s in the casserole. I do like all in one meals, but prefer Chinese stir-fry and stews. I have a good chicken veggie stew recipe, very healthy, with a ton of veggies.

“If you come to visit”. Wouldn’t it be funny if everyone reading your blog showed up at your door at the same time?

Oh great! Now you made me hungry. ;)

Nothing with potato chips is a casserole, it is a disaster

Lasagna a casserole? really...well then I am pro and will challenge you to a Lasagna cook-off any time you'd like...

Big yes! The only caveat being that it has to be vegetarian if I'm going to eat it. And I don't like casseroles made with condensed soup ingredients. Makes me suspicious that meat-based ingredients might be lurking in there somewhere....

You better let me know if you take that challenge from Vinny. I'll be there with the garlic bread!!!!

PRO casserole. But from this dago I would not constitute Lasagna as a casserole.... really?

Sorry but I'm beatin' on Vinny here. You probably use cottage cheese or some such sacrilegious thing you wasps do.
