But I've been watching Luke Nguyen's cooking show set in Vietnam. It's the last thing I do in the evenings. Watch a 30 minute episode of something mindless.
Last night, he was in Da Lat. And it hit me. I want to go. Be there. Do that.
I already have the travel bug. Again. Last week, I dreamed that I was in China again. After never EVER wanting to set foot on another plane just 8 weeks ago, it doesn't seem to horrible now.
I emailed my cousin. She's ready too. Said it's in our blood. Next....maybe Vietnam in 2012?
Perhaps we can take the train to Thailand and see Boonie!
And yes, I will be riding an elephant!

The traveling bug is like bed bugs, it always returns, I hear!
Why not Vietnam? My classmates in HS were being sent there in 1969 to kill people they wouldn't have killed if not taught to do so by the Army. Maybe in 41 years Iraq will be a vacation spot.
That's one thing I've learned, governments and people are totally different. We are all more alike than we are different.
Ah ha! You've definitely got the bug. It's going to take over your life now and you'll find yourself all over the globe! That's exactly how I used to think, except that it will start to look less like 8 weeks between never wanting to step foot on a plane and being ready to pack your bags, and more like 8 days . . .
:)
I believe it would be a wonderful trip indeed
That would be an amazing trip. I know a guy who lives in Thailand. He lives in a an expat village. I wouldn't do that. I would live with the locals.
I want Photos,Photos, and More photos!!!Enjoy the trip when you go!
Governments and people ARE different! Excellent statement, RLL!
Sounds like it'd be a very interesting trip.
Wow! You’d want to visit me….? I’m flattered.
I suspect that you’d like Thailand, and even more so Thailand would like you.
Thanks for mentioning me in this delightful post.
Very best wishes, Boonie
I love to travel, and having been in Asia for 3 weeks in July I loved every bit of it. The people you meet are so friendly there. How exciting for you just thinking about it!
Back to the land of bunny! Before you go, find out if I can still legally purchase a bride from Thailand so I can put in an order with you.
You know... chicago is SO much closer than Vietnam. Just sayin. Although, I had a friend go to Thailand and he never wanted to come back. And he didn't even ride an elephant.
Yes, and elephant ride would be fun...and visiting Boonie, I'd love that, too! Go, go, go, Chica...if you can do it, DO IT!! :)
