Last Night's Chocolate Indulgence

*Click pics for larger views.

was held in the Westin Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. We've spend the last nine days touring the coast of Maine. Starting out the first night in Boston and driving all the way to Machias and back.

Last night we arrived back at our starting point in Providence. As we walked down the corridor of the Westin (hotwire.com, folks for $88/night) to our room on the 15th floor, we saw a wasteful sight. An entire tray full of welcoming chocolates wasting. Swarming with fruit flies. Tragic.

We did the only thing we could do. We ordered one for ourselves to appease the chocolate gods for the wastefulness of our floormates.

We ate every bite. Feeding each other from the teensy cup of chocolate mousse. Stuffing champagne grapes into bites of chocolate ganache cake. And gently biting into chocolate covered strawberries praying that the coating didn't fall onto the crisp white sheets of the Heavenly Bed. One drip of raspberry sauce dropped onto the whiteness. We didn't let that stop the frenzy. We just vowed to be more careful.

Here's one of my favorite pics. Taken by the love of my life on the Margaret Todd Windjammer Sunset Cruise in Bar Harbor, Maine.

We had the most fantastic trip. I can't wait to tell you all about it....as soon as I've had a good night's sleep.

Welcome back ... you tease you!

Maine - makes me think about a guy I dated who was from there. His accent was so "severe" I had a difficult time understanding him!

Can't wait to hear more!!
