That was Olberman's best special comment yet. In fact, he should stop doing special comments now, cause he'll never top that one.

"What is this to you?"

Simple words that carry so very much weight and meaning.

Well done Kieth, well done.

it doesnt make sense at all ..you can get married without it being a religious ceremony , a matter of fact ..you can get married without any ceremony..just sign some papers.

I hate when 'religious' people latch on to something thats mainly legal and claim it as their own..

why dont they use all this rabid energy to get the government out of their marriages ?
make it totally between them and god ?

I haven't seen this man before, but this is brilliant.

If only all that rabid energy could be used to help poor and sick people.

That was an incredible comment. Very sincere.
Thank you for sharing.

First thing Olbermann has said that 1) makes sense and 2) isn't based on some half-assed story he got off the net. As you can tell he's not my favorite, but this one was excellent.

I have the same thing posted in my blog!!! :) How wonderful that we think alike! :)

Geez, sounds like Keith has a hair up his ass. Oh well. Psst. Keith, like the website says, move on. Chill, big fella.

I posted this too! :) great minds really do think alike LOL
I teared up and had chills when I saw Olberman saying this on his show the other night. Jay is right, he'll never top that one.
It's just a shame he's preaching mostly to the choir.

I thought this was exellent. I too got chills from this the other night.
He really stuck it right into some faces with, "What is this to you"

What a wonderful video. I hope you don't mind if I use this, because a "friend" of mine who happens to be African-American has voted for Prop 8 and said that marriage should only between a man and a woman...not realizing at one time black people couldn't marry whites or each other due to our horrific past.

I'd like to share this on my blog too, and thank you for putting this up!

"It's about the human heart." Enough said.

Love is love.

Plain and simple.

I don't think there should be any kind of discrimination about who it is, regardless of sex, race, height, whatever!

So for me, this is just redundant, but live and love as you will, the rest comes naturally!

Once again people have to be reminded that they need to worry about things in their own lives before they start dictating how other people should live.

thank you for posting this, I hadnt seen it before!

Olbermann, or whoever picked out that tie, is obviously gay. Gay people make the baby jebus cry and must be stopped in the name of xtian love. If we let the homosexuals get married then they can get pregnant and give birth to more of them. No marriage = no pregnancy. There can be no exceptions.

Exception: Asian lesbian schoolgirls who want to document their love by posting on Youtube should be constitutionally protected, by which I mean shipped to my apartment and locked into my walk-in closet, henceforth to be called The Bunnycage.

I have seen Keith's comments on so many blogs and it's been watched a lot on Youtube - I hope people really hear the words that resonated with so many ...

'what is this to you'

peace beautiful lady :)

*stands up and applauds, wiping a tear*

Now THAT was a moment.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said. Thank you for posting this. I hadn't seen it yet.

I like Keith and what he says but sometimes I'm afraid the delivery is too much like faux news channel. I'm afraid I feel the same way about Rachel Maddow. Love them to death but do we really need to come off as rabid as our friends on the far right?

Dang IT geeks..I want to see this..have to come back from home.

Keith and I have always had a love-hate relationship...he was brilliant at sports...in the real world, he can be a bit of a ...ummm what is the word -- OH yeah - DUMBA**

but from the comments here, he finally nailed one.

Thanks for sharing this, I hadn't seen or heard about it.

Keith hit the nail on the head. what more can you add to it? I was really shocked that so many people did so much like give up their life savings, to make sure this bill got passed. This is a very bad sign and I'm hoping America is better than this.

Wow!
I am genuinely impressed with KO on this one. While in virtually every other thing he says, I consider him an ASSHAT, I have to give him total props on this one. As I commented on my blog, our lovely state of Kahleefornia managed to screw the pooch on this one. I can only hope that the flurry of lawsuits that have sprung up will correct this wrong. I expect that gay marriage will be back before too long. At least I pray it will.
(Begrudgingly) Good Job Keith!!

He said it so well - I agree with Jay. No way to top that!

Mr Olbermann can annoy, frustrate, and irritate. But not with this comment.
