Why Would You Even Do That?

When I searched for an image to go with this post, "image" brought up nothing.
But "sexy image" brought up this one first. So, I just *had* to share.

Another story from the softball game....

I'm sitting behind a group of women. One is obviously in the process of being dumped by her long time girlfriend and is talking about the "other woman."

Dumpee: This "Heather" is straight, has a family, is a drunk and blogs about all of it.

Friend1: Just what a codependent needs, a drunk!

Dumpee: Exactly, and what type of person has the need to spread out all of their life for other people to read about?

I sat there quietly thinking how judgmental they are. I didn't say anything. Instead, I let their actions show me what kind of people they are.

Would you have said anything?

Wonder what they'd think if they knew I blogged about them?

Oh my God look at that picture!

And also, that comment you left on my blog today had me cracking up.

Lol....if only people knew who was lurking around them. Just goes to show there are eyes and ears everywhere.

You need one of those t-shirts that say "I'm blogging this." But, no, I wouldn't have said anything. I try not to eavesdrop and I don't respond to comments that weren't made directly to me.

Gossiping is worst than blogging about it.

I'm sorry, were there any words after that picture?

I got all dizzy from blood flow displacement.

Sklersdad.. LOL LOL LOL

I wouldn't have wasted my time saying anything to anyone who is that judgemental. It does no good cause they have no idea how completely moronic they sound.

You had me at bikini.

No, you were right. Let them make fools of themselves.

babe...don;t say a word and me...I'd hang out with them more. They seem to be a goldmine of blog fodder. hehehe

The pic rocks...just like you. ":0P

I would not have said anything but I would have fantasized about saying something.

I'm not so sure I agree about the "spread out all of their life for other people to read about." I think blogging can be therapeutic, just like writing in a journal, only the writing is legible and one can include [hot] pictures!

Sounds like softball games are the way to go for catching whiffs of juicy gossip!

Are those the softball uniforms they're wearing now a days? Hot, hot, hot just don't slide into third.

I'm sorry, did you have a question?

All's fair in gossip and blogging! :)

i think any one who has a low opinion of bloggers and blogging deserves to be blogged about!!!

Gossiping about other people is wayyyy worse than blogging about what is happening in your own life.

I wouldn't have said anything. I don't like to engage in gossip. Oh, I'll listen to it, I just won't say anything. ;-)

I would have leaned in and said "Actually blogging is very cathartic...maybe you should try it some day" - smiled and moved down the bleachers...

I wouldn't have said anything - the dumpee is obviously full of sour grapes. I need to find Heather's blog. It sounds awesome!

Wait! I haven't got past the photo yet! ;)

I would not have said anything. It was not a conversation your.

Jaimey said...

I tend to speak up and say something like "Oh I blog. You should try it, and read mine. I will have a ton to tell tonight!"

I'm a bitch what can I say! (shhh don't tell. :)

what kind of person? um, I dunno, a brave person? someone interested in our shared humanity?

and no, I wouldn't have said anything. it's their conversation, they can say what they want.

I would not have said anything, if people know you are listening, they won't talk around you and you lose out on precious eavesdropping opportunities.

Nolens Volens said...

Maybe you should wear a shirt that says "Warning: your comments may be repeated elsewhere" ;)

Came back to see the picture since I could not see at work

Worth the time ...no doubt...

All I can say about that pic is 'oh my!'
My family thinks I am nuts for blogging - the don't read me - they are embarrassed for me...

My wife thinks I'm crazy for blogging. One of the blogs I have is her weekly lunch/dinner menu with pictures, the first thing she does in the morning is check what new locations have looked at that blog, she keeps a list by city.

What picture?

Gina said...

I don't understand blog-haters. What is the point? Obviously they haven't seen your blog. And the pictures you include.

I would have thought of all the witty things I *could* have said hours later, but at the time, I wouldn't have said anything.

oh, you pesky blogger you! I dance around the blogger stuff all the time, as a lot of people at work and within my industry lurk on mine. This week was a good example, when I posted photos of me at the American Idol finale. I could almost *feel* the buzz around the office that I had been at Idol. Finally someone spoke up and said something I just laughed at all the lurkers who didn't have the balls to say anything nice.

I think they are judgmental and I think the fact that you're blogging about them and they don't know it is great! It serves them right in my mind.

I also like the "I'm blogging this" t-shirt idea.

Scarlet said...

Ha! I wonder what they'd think of the image you used when you blogged about them. :)

Knight said...

People tend to be extra judgmental when their feelings are hurt and they feel rejected. I would chalk it up to that.

kim said...

i dont get blog-haters. don't they realize that all their whining gives us great topics and opportunities to display pics of bikini chicks?

I saw a shirt once that said, "I'll be blogging about you later"..I'd love to have one of those..lol

Angel said...

I wouldn't have said anything either...but I would have listened in on the conversation and then blogged about the whole thing!

Some people just don't "get" blogging...but they Twitter, Mysoace and Facebook to death. It's all about the same thing....

I love bloggers! I've never had so much fun or met so many wonderful friends!

Laura said...

huh?

did you say something?

Holy Mother of God I couldnt concentrate on anything but that picture!!!!!

No, seriously....I blog about everything that I hear or see - its GREAT BLOG FODDER!

Stacey said...

What search engine do you use? When I typed in "sexy Image" I got some photo of a stock image of a woman making a sexy face.... or at least I think that is what she was going for.

Aunt Jackie said...

That's a hot sexy image... I wish I looked like that. :(

I always imagine somehow that all of my problems would just disappear if I could just look like those girls...

LOL Interesting post... Yeah they probably don't even think of people blogging about them, or even the possibility of it!

Rebecca said...

LOL. I wouldn't have said a damn thing either........
OMG what search engine DO you use?
